Chris & Emily Vickio – Pioneer Bible Translators
4 Jun
Today we leaving to spend 2 weeks in a village a few hours away from home. This is part of our cultural orientation, and we hope it will be a great time of language learning and an opportunity for us to understand more about life in this part of Africa.
We will not have electricity during this time, so we will not be posting any video updates, replying to any emails, or updating anything else online. We will have a camera and will post photos and videos after we return. Please keep us in your prayers, especially for our health as it not uncommon for people to return from village living with some health issues. Thanks!

There is a troop of monkeys that likes to hang out at the PBT office, providing great entertainment/distraction for us. Here are a few clips that I recorded of them this week. This isn’t at a zoo or wildlife reserve, this is in our backyard!

This week we finished our time at language school and moved into a house we are renting near the PBT office. It’s exciting for us to finally settle down and have our own place after being on the move for so long. The house isn’t furnished yet, so we’ve decided to wait until later to give you the grand tour.
